Blackwell litter pick success!

01 July 2010

11 bags of rubbish were collected by volunteers on the Blackwell Litter Pick day. The tidy-up of the village was organised by Blackwell Residents' Action Group. They were lucky to be joined by extra helpers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team, PC Lorna Evans and PCSO Paul Brownlee who are extremely involved in the community.

The type of rubbish collected ranged from glass bottles, sweet wrappers and crisp packets to dirty nappies and used baby wipes. The rubbish was safely disposed of and everyone can enjoy the fact that the village looks much tidier.
